The Warren County Drug Task Force made nearly a dozen arrests on drug trafficking charges during a sweep of four counties.

The drug sweep was launched Friday, May 22, after a six-month investigation in which undercover officers allegedly made drug buys from the suspects in Warren County, said John Burke, task force commander.

Arrested were: Brent Carpenter, 40, 1700 Natchez Drive, St. Clair Twp.; William Curfman, 23, 308 Victory Lane, Franklin; Melinda Deboard, 38, Wilmington; Kyle Goings, 25, Wilmington; Geena Johnson, 33 114 Pleasant St., Lebanon; Rusty Kirk, 20, 4387 N. Ohio 48, Clearcreek Twp.; James McCarty, 49, 452 Glenview Ave., Lebanon; Richard Morgan Jr., 51, 1030 Hunters Run Apt. H-47, Lebanon; Thomas Reeder, 29, of Wilmington; Bruce Rheinscheld, 27, of Wilmington; and Tim Robinson, 20, 7344 Ellenridge Drive, Franklin.

The roundup, which took place mainly in Warren County, also branched out to Butler, Montgomery and Clinton counties. Officers found drugs and loaded guns during the arrests.

Undercover officers purchased marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and prescription painkillers from the alleged drug traffickers during their investigation. The task force Friday arrested 11 of 23 alleged drug dealers who were secretly indicted May 15 by a Warren County grand jury.

Burke characterized those arrested as mid-level drug dealers.

The investigation continues and arrest warrants are still out for: Ronald Barr, 57, 2771 Senior Road, Morrow; Kyle Clark, 19, of Waynesville; Sheila Cordell, 42, of Wilmington; Daniel Couch, 21, 73 Beam Circle, Apt. E, Franklin; Konstantin Douhkov, 21, 8540 High Trail Court, Mason; Branden Fisher, 22, of Wilmington; Craig Frisby, 23, of Waynesville; Elijah McDonald, 22, 2800 Kimberly Drive, Maineville; Clarence Payne, 32, 445 E. Silver St., Lebanon; Alon Russell, 38, of Wilmington; Freddy Strickland, 39, of Dayton; and Timothy Tinch, 23, 8885 Clearcreek-Franklin Road, Springboro.

The sweep started around 8:30 a.m. Friday with five teams of officers fanned out across the region. One undercover officer said daytime is the best time to make arrests: “The thing about drug dealers — they don’t work.”
