I have about 35 people on sec8 and public asst. here at my complex, but there is only about 5 of these tenants that are abusing the system selling and buying drugs. The others are of the older part of society on S.S. that have earned the right to have the privelege.

Bigger: I am aware of what council did at the last meeting. I am also aware of what they did NOT do.

What they did NOT do was explain what happened to the over $8 MILLION collected to date from the Public Safety tax increase! This was supposed to be "in ADDITION" to, not "instead of" what was already being spent on public safety.

They won't admit it, but it was used to cover their unnecessary DEFICIT SPENDING!

People please realize that it isn't just sect 8 and other public asst people who are using and selling. My best friend lives in a community of 300k plus homes in the lakota school area and there is a dealer in her neighborhood. Neighbors need to take a stand and start calling and reporting people to local police. Call every day- maybe it might do some good- maybe if we're lucky here in middletown
its all over

i agree about the section 8 welfare people i did my own survey and 72 percent of the people i talked with that are on drugs draw some sort of public assitance....i agree that they should be tested randomly and kicked off assistance if they dont pass why does this issue keep getting pushed away for those of us that work for a living they can test and fire us at will!!!!!TEST THEM AND BOOT THEM SAVE US ALL SOME MONEY!!!!!

Presta, during the last council meeting they voted to keep the police and fire as it now stand instead of cutting it because voters were promised this, they could easily have voted to layoff both police and fire. You are one that never gives anyone credit when credit is due. People better appreciate what we have now because the future holds nothing when the safety tax issue goes away.
Bigger cities have to worse.
