Amy Dallis will be Hospice Care of Middletown’s new president and chief executive officer, replacing retiring executive Amy Lindon, the agency has announced.
With a skilled and collaborative care team and a growing patient census, Dallis said she looks forward to “great things ahead for our organization and for the larger community we serve.”
Board Chairman Dan Flory agrees the future is bright for the agency.
“We are excited about the vision, experience, and team approach that Amy brings to our hometown hospice,” he said.
As Hospice Care of Middletown moves forward, the organization will build upon its demonstrated record of quality care that earned the hospice a deficiency free survey in late 2008, a family satisfaction rating consistently higher than the national benchmark, and recognition as a leader in local grief support services, she said.
Part of the growth process, according to Dallis, will be to continue Hospice’s strong relationships with existing referral sources while expanding and improving the hospice’s level of service to area long term care facilities and physicians.
Hospice Care of Middletown serves Butler, Warren, Montgomery and Preble counties.
Dallis believes that the journey that brought her to Hospice Care of Middletown has taught her a great deal about how healing and hope are expressed through those individuals called to the healthcare profession.
“I have been blessed throughout my career to find meaning in my work,” she said. “How many people can truly say that? Yet, by giving caregivers the tools and encouragement they need to provide the best possible patient care, I know that what I do makes a difference in people’s lives, which brings a great sense of purpose and satisfaction.”
