HAMILTON — City Council will be considering entering an agreement that will enable Hamilton prisoners to be held in the Middletown jail.

Such agreements have existed in the past to provide the Hamilton Police Department another option besides the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, according to a memo sent to council members by City Manager Mark Brandenburger.

The charge to Hamilton for incarcerating a prisoner in Middletown would be $65 a day and the term of the agreement would run to Dec. 31, 2010.
