MIDDLETOWN — This town is upside down.
As I write this Wednesday, July 1, there’s a traffic jam downtown, and the parking lot at the Towne Mall is nothing but empty, potholed pavement.

Resident's are the best real estate agents, marketing managers, and salesmen ever known. With all this complaining they are doing a poor job selling their product.
Compare Middletown to the heart of Dayton or Cincinnati and you'll find sunshine!

Personally, Ms. Reinsmidt, I don't see a "bright future" for it.

Here's a thought, Mr. McNabb: Go to our former downtown tomorrow (or any other normal, mid-week day) at one o'clock and count the number of "empty" stores compared to "businesses". Then go back on any evening when there is NOT a "Bash" in progress, and compare apples-to-apples against an evening at Towne Mall.
You, Mr. Armbruster, and others may find that the former downtown is not really "booming".
