Kroger Co. will host a conference call with company officers and industry analysts at 10 a.m. Dec. 8 to talk about financial results for the third quarter of the company’s fiscal 2009.

Based in Cincinnati, Kroger, the nation’s largest traditional grocery retailer, has more than 326,000 employees in 2,470 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 31 states under two dozen local names including Kroger, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, Food 4 Less, Fry’s, King Soopers, Smith’s, Dillons, QFC and City Market.
Domestically, the company also has 768 convenience stores, 388 jewelry stores, 818 supermarket fuel centers and 40 food processing plants.
