If you are like me, you have seen the commercials on TV for these name-brand toilet paper holders that you actually pay for. Why spend your hard earned money on something pre-made that you can make for just $1.98 on your own?

This project is fast, simple and will save you time and money in the long run.

You will need

Items I purchased:

• Two 12-inch-by-12-inch pieces of scrapbook paper — 99 cents at Michaels

Items I already had around the house:

• Tape

• Scissors

• Empty oatmeal canister

Directions

1. Take your empty oatmeal container and lay it flat on your scrapbook paper. Using a pencil or pen, mark the length of your container and cut the bottom of your paper so it can wrap around your canister neatly.

2. Cut out your scrapbook paper and wrap it around the canister.

3. Use your tape to secure down both sides of your paper.

4. Cut out a patch with the other piece of scrapbook paper that will fit on the back side of your canister. If your paper has a print, like mine, allow yourself a large enough piece so that you can properly match up the pattern.

5. Securely tape your patch into place making sure all seams are taped down.

6. Once you have everything secured, place two rolls of toilet paper into your canister and display it proudly on the back of your toilet.

Tip

If you want to jazz this project up even more, then place ribbon or other embellishments around the outside of your container.
