How to save some dough at KI, Cedar Point this summer

By Alexis Larsen

Contributing Writer

Planning a trip to Cedar Point or Kings Island this year? Like most things, you want to be online.

A one-day adult ticket purchased on Cedar Point’s website will cost $7 less than at the gate. Kings Island visitors will get a $17 discount for each adult, one-day ticket purchased online vs. the park.

At Kings Island, guests can save $17 off the front-gate price of adult tickets when they purchase tickets in advance online. There is also a Starlight ticket for $25.99 after 5 p.m. that is available online or at the front gate. Kroger also offers a savings off the front-gate price. The savings will vary depending on the Kroger location. The best value on tickets is the Pay Once, Visit Twice ticket option. For $53.99, guests can visit the park twice. Visits do not need to be on consecutive dates. This ticket option is available online through our website, or at the park.

Lastly, if you are going to be visiting both Cedar Point and Kings Island this summer, then a Platinum Pass might be worth looking into. It offers unlimited visits, free parking and early entry to all Cedar Fair parks.
