Precinct numbers for some Warren County voters have changed, but their polling places will remain the same during Tuesday’s election.
Voters will elect new city council members, township trustees and school board members on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Two county-wide levies and a host of individual levy issues are also on the ballot.
Board of Elections Director Keir Holeman said in this fast growing county, election officials need to make precinct shifts periodically so they don’t nudge past the state precinct limit of 1,400 registered voters.
“This is something we deal with every couple of years,” he said.
The board of elections made a recent shift in precincts at the old elementary school in South Lebanon and the other in Clearcreek Twp. at Lytle Five Points Elementary. Voters in South Lebanon precinct 76 were combined with the smaller precinct 109 and precincts 33 and 168 in Clearcreek Twp. combined. Voters received post cards informing them of the shift from one precinct number to another, but since the locations did not change, voters won’t notice much of a difference.
The polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. People can preview a sample of their ballot before going to vote at http://www.co.warren.oh.us/bdelec/index.asp.
