FAIRFIELD — Two men were arrested Monday, July 13, for allegedly selling fake documents to Butler County Sheriff’s detectives.
Raymundo Ramirez-Nava, 35, of Cincinnati, is charged with falsification and Tadeo Torres-Torres, 39, of Washington Street, Hamilton, is charged with four counts of forgery.
Torres-Torres possessed four fictitious U.S. Social Security cards that undercover detectives “ordered up,” according to the sheriff’s office.
Ramirez-Nava originally gave officers a false name and identification card but later admitted his true identity, according to officials.
According to the sheriff’s office, both men admitted to being in the country illegally from Mexico.
Both men are being held in the Butler County jail pending court hearings in Fairfield Municipal Court.
Seized during the investigation was a 1998 Pontiac, approximately $1,000 and two cell phones.
Last week, two other illegal immigrants were arrested by undercover deputies for allegedly trying to sell forged documents.
Victor Meza-Martinez, 24, and Jose Borrios-Gomez, 30, were arrested July 7, at an Ohio 4 convenience store. They also are being held in the Butler County Jail.
