MONROE — Police are searching for three men they believe robbed a man at gun Wednesday, June 17, at the Stoney Ridge Inn on Ohio 63.
Monroe police Sgt. Tom Cobaugh said just before 3 p.m., the trio approached a man in a recreational vehicle at the truck stop near Interstate 75. One of the men showed a semi-automatic handgun before they allegedly stole $380 cash.
Witnesses said the men took off in a greenish-brown Mercury Topaz with Tennessee license plates, Cobaugh said.
All three men are described as white males between the ages of 25 and 30. Two men with brown hair — one about 5 feet 8 inches tall and the other 5 feet 6 inches tall, both weighing about 150 pounds — were with a red-haired man standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 300 pounds, according to police.
“We think they still might be in the area,” said Cobaugh.
