Feb. 2

Tools valued at $1,500 were stolen overnight Thursday from a pickup truck parked at a business in the 300 block of Charles Street.

Thieves entered a residence in the 1400 block of Villa Court Thursday afternoon and took a jewelry box containing several pieces of jewelry, including watches, bracelets, earrings and wedding bands worth $2,500. The burglars came through sliding glass.

Feb. 6

An early morning vehicle chase ended with a police dog tracking a possible suspect. Officers were asked to assist the highway patrol to stop a van it was in pursuit of on southbound Interstate 75. At about 3:25 a.m. Monday the van exited on to Ohio 122. The suspect vehicle was found empty on Moore Street and an officer and a police dog tracked the suspect to a shed in the 1900 block of Howard Street. The suspect was not located.
