LEBANON — A Middletown man who police had been looking for more than a year was indicted on rape charges, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office
Ricky Singleton, 33, of the 6000 block of Brandy Wine Lane in Middletown, is accused of raping a Lebanon woman while both were at a party on March 27, 2008, according to John Arnold of the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.
Singleton was indicted by the Warren County Grand Jury on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Arnold said Singleton was spending the night at a home in the Lebanon area after a party and allegedly forced himself on the victim. The victim went to a neighbor’s house after the assault and then went to a hospital, Arnold said.
The indictment was delayed because police had difficulty finding Singleton, Arnold said.
Singleton was cited on Sept. 28 for driving while under suspension in the Middletown area. He appeared in Middletown Municipal Court the following day and pleaded guilty to the charge, according to court records.
Singleton was booked into Butler County Jail at that time and he continues to be held there, according to online jail records.
Singleton is charged with one count of rape, a first-degree felony. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.
