  The bodies of a man and woman found shot to death in the parking lot of Jellybean Junction daycare facility in Fairfield had gunshot wounds to the head. The bodies were discovered by a lawncare service employee in a Jeep Cherokee at Mack and Winton Roads around 9:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26 -- three hours after the daycare center opened.

• Man sentenced to 30 years for shooting

Jerry Adams III was found guilty of aggravated murder in the shooting death of Raymond Davis in Middletown. He was sentenced to 25 years to life with an additional 5 years for a gun specification. Adams will serve at least 30 years.

• Car crashes into building

  An accident involving a Silver Dodge Dakota and a green Pontiac Grand Am caused the Grand Am to collide into the Fifth Third Bank Building on Main Street Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 in downtown Middletown, Ohio. There were no injuries and the building only suffered cosmetic damages according to Middletown building inspector Tom Huiet.

  Photos: A suspected pipe bomb was detonated at 12:16 p.m., Aug. 5, by the Dayton bomb squad in an abandoned lot on South Pioneer Boulevard across from the temporary Springboro City Hall. The suspected bomb was found in the backpack of two teens pulled over about 3 a.m. on the north side of town.

  Stephen Rader, 40, received two life sentences without the possibility of parole Friday, June 12, 2009, in Butler Common Pleas Court. Rader was convicted in May of raping two boys and a girl younger than 10, and 22 counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.
