Middletown police killed a deer which had reportedly leapt through the glass door of a Central Avenue business, according to police reports.
Officers responded to a business at Legends, 1234 Central Ave., where they reportedly observed a female deer walking inside. The doe had reportedly cut her neck while jumping through the glass and police decided it would be best to euthanize her.
An officer shot the deer four times with a Glock 45 and the animal was given to the building owner.

A 25-year-old Middletown man was arrested after police said they found an open bottle of wine and small plastic bag of marijuana in his vehicle. Edwynn Howard, of the 200 block of Baltimore Street, reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign while turning from Eighth Avenue onto Lincoln Street, then made a quick turn into a Yankee Road driveway.
Approximately five minutes later, the car left the site at a high speed and took off southbound. Police stopped the vehicle and observed Howard was not wearing his safety belt. Howard had five open suspensions on his license and was placed under arrest for driving under suspension, according to police. Howard was charged with driving under suspension, two counts of a stop sign violation, a seat belt violation, open flask and drug abuse/marijuana.
A 19-year-old GameStop employee was arrested after allegedly stealing nearly $270 in video games from a store. Police report John Clemons III admitted to stealing the games when questioned by store security. He reportedly returned the games. He was charged with theft and taken to the Middletown city jail.
