HAMILTON — Two employees of a check-cashing and payday-lending business are accused of taking out unauthorized loans and not paying the required fees.
The owner of Cash Plus, 1480 S. Erie Blvd., in Hamilton, filed two theft reports Monday. The first report states that since February, a male employee had taken out an undisclosed amount of unauthorized loans and waived the fees, estimated at $3,645.14, that would normally apply, according to police records.
The second report states that a female worker did the same thing since October, amounting to $615.25 in unpaid fees, according to police records.
The two employees were not arrested and the matter was referred to the prosecutor’s office, police said.
