MADISON TWP. — Butler County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who robbed the Madison Food Mart at gunpoint at about 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26.
According to the sheriff’s office, a man entered the store located at 2289 Middletown-Eaton Road and showed an unknown type of long gun to the clerk. The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash and fled in a sports utility vehicle with one headlight and headed west on Ohio 744, authorities said. The suspect, described as a white male, no facial hair, between 5-foot-6 and 6-foot, 180 to 200 pounds is considered to be armed and dangerous. He was wearing a dark zip-type jacket, blue jeans, dark color boots and had what appeared to be green material wrapped around his head, authorities said.
