HAMILTON — The Butler County Engineer's Office will get $64,027 to help cover the costs of responding to the Sept. 14 windstorm, the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Monday, Dec. 22.
This will cover 75 percent of the cost of salary and equipment needed to remove debris after the remnants of Hurricane Ike ripped through the county, felling trees, damaging buildings and leaving thousands without power.
Butler County was one of 33 counties that received a federal emergency declaration, paving the way for FEMA assistance.
