Regarding soldiers in Iraq dying: They knew their choices when they joined the armed forces. Therefore, they knew they would be putting their lives on the line. So get off of it, idiots.
You are worried about your mail service now? I work for the post office. The problem is we have management who is adding more and more volume to routes. The bottom line: We have more volume of mail than horses to deliver the job So you might as well get used to it. The postal service is doing more with less.
The Butler County Board of Elections deserves a big vote of thanks for running the election so smoothly. They had enough poll workers. They had enough voting booths. We didn’t have to stand in line for hours to get to vote, the way they did in some other places.
Why can’t the police and fire department put an operating levy on the ballot? As a citizen of this town, I would definitely vote “yes” to keep my fire and emergency services.
The hypocrisy of the Middletown Journal shines through again The Journal endorsed Republicans in all the local races, but followed the Cox corporate line in pushing for Kerry. When it comes close to home, even The Journal knows the Republicans are better leaders for our community.
