Jesus is not a liberal. The political pundits on the loony left can’t comprehend the outcome of the election because they don’t understand God, the Bible or the “morality” thing.
Conservatives, not liberals, are for social justice, and thus have God and the truth on their side.
Liberals are hypocrites for claiming to stand for social justice, yet denying innocent children the right to life. God sides with conservatives on issues like stem cell research and abortion. Babies should be as protected as beagles and bald eagles. Since our laws protect bald eagle eggs, the same rights should be granted to humans.
Conservatives believe babies should be as protected as puppies. It is both reasonable and right that it should not be legal for a woman to choose to murder her unborn child. If we frown on slicing up a live Labrador, it’s only fair to make it illegal for doctors to tear apart unborn children.
Is God for or against same-sex marriage? The answer is in the first book of the Bible where it says that God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Not only did God create, ordain and intend for marriage to be between one man and one woman, God also said homosexuality is sinful, wicked, evil, wrong, immoral, and that those who do not repent of that lifestyle will not inherit the kingdom of God (I Cor. 6:9-10).
Homosexuals should be helped, not given special rights and privileges. The Church of Jesus Christ has good news for those struggling with the sin of homosexuality. They can be delivered, unbound and set free from that hurtful, harmful, destructive lifestyle. Jesus Christ displayed His love for us through His incarnation, death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, His resurrection from the grave and His ascension into glory from where He will come back very soon to judge the living and the dead. Just as when He walked the earth, Jesus Christ has the desire and power to free all people from the guilt, shame and power of adultery, homosexuality, pornography, or any other sin.
Conservatives, like liberals, are concerned about helping the poor. Our difference is not that we should help the poor, but how we can best do that. Conservatives don’t think that throwing our money at wasteful government programs is the best way to help poor people. History and reason both teach what liberals have yet to figure out: Socialism doesn’t work. Instead of helping the poor, our welfare programs have destroyed the incentive to work, undermined marriage and hurt families by encouraging out of wedlock births, and demeaned generations of people by perpetuating slavery to the welfare system.
Conservatives have God on their side on the issue of education as well. Many school tax levies failed not because people don’t care about children and education, but because they are sick and tired of paying more and more money for an increasingly inferior education.
God gave the responsibility of educating children to parents, not the state. Through vouchers, parents should have the option of where and how their precious children are to be educated, instead of being forced to send them to failing government schools where our children are not only exposed to thugs and drugs, but taught political and religious views hostile and contrary to our own.
When the Ten Commandments, prayer and Bible reading were removed from our schools, religion was not removed. One religion was taken out, and another was put in its place. Christianity was removed, and the religion of secular humanism was instated. You cannot have a religious viewpoint or perspective. If God is completely taken out of the picture, a religious point of view is still being taught. The only question is, whose religion?
Conservatives commitment to social justice is the reason we support the war in Iraq. We believe basic human rights, freedom, voting rights, and educational opportunities for women are God-given and worth fighting for and defending.
Jesus is not a liberal, but He does stand with conservatives who want “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” for everyone — including the pre-born, the poor, parents, and those who happen to live in Iraq.
