Steam Systems expands again

By Chelsey Levingston

Local company Steam Systems, 2860 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, will add a second building on its property to house a larger crane, said Rick Hall, vice president.

The new building will give the company more production space and a taller crane to build larger pressure tanks and vessels, Hall said.

Steam Systems makes steel industrial strainers of any size to go in pipelines for institutions, municipalities and commercial construction, as well as pressure vessels. Founded in 1990, the company is also a manufacturing sales representative of process steam equipment and heat exchangers, and does installation and maintenance services of the products it sells.

This reporter first wrote about the company in 2011, when it added about 4,500-square-feet to its existing building, a roughly $220,000 investment.

Construction has yet to start on the second building, but building permit information from the city estimates the construction value of the new project to be about $330,000.

The Middletown company’s marketplace has expanded, Hall said.

“We’re selling, probably 20 to 30 percent of our stuff is all over the world,” he said.
