Miami Valley Hospital plans $687,000 renovation

Dayton building officials are reviewing plans for the proposed renovation of an inpatient rehabilitation unit at Miami Valley Hospital.

The city estimates the value of the work at $687,233, according to records from Dayton Building Services.

App Architecture, located in Englewood, is listed as the architect for the project.

Plans call for renovating more than 8,800 square feet on the hospital’s fourth floor west, city records show.

Hospital officials couldn’t be reached for comment Friday.

Hospitals in the region have experienced a building boom over the last several months.

Kettering Health Network opened Soin Medical Center earlier this year, and Grandview Medical Center is in the midst of a major renovation.

Miami Valley Hospital, operated by Premier Health Partners, added a 12-story patient tower last year, and its sister hospital, Miami Valley South in Centerville, added a 200,000-square foot patient tower.
