Kroger lowers prices, eliminates some double coupons

Kroger announced today a new price campaign in which prices on thousands of items will be lowered.

Some examples of lower priced goods include a 71 cent price drop in a 24 pack of Kroger bottled water, a $1 price drop on a 3 lb. bag of onions and a $1.40 price drop on soy milk.

“We know price continues to be a top, and at times a deciding, factor when it comes to where to grocery shop,” said Sukanya Madlinger, President of Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton Division. “The savings shoppers see on items they buy every week are going to be better. Every aisle, every department in the store will contain newly lowered prices on Kroger Private Label and National Brand products.”

Kroger also announced it will no longer double coupons up to 50 cents, instead accepting the coupons at face value.
