HEBRON, Ky. — DHL Express said it is recruiting people to fill 300 jobs between now and July at its freight and sorting hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Starting on Tuesday, June 8, job-seekers are invited to DHL’s hub operation at the airport in northern Kentucky to apply for jobs in package sorting, ground and ramp operations. DHL said it expects to hire 200 workers this month at its hub and an additional 100 in July.

Package volumes have increased and DHL needs to increase staffing at the hub for peak shipping times, management said.

Applicants are invited to DHL Express’ recruiting center at 785 Lindbergh Court in Hebron between 9 a.m. 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and again during those hours from June 15 to June 17.

Applicants must be 18 or older. They should be prepared to present work histories, high school or college diplomas, school transcripts and other documents that would be helpful for employment consideration, DHL officials said.

The company closed its Wilmington, Ohio, freight hub in January 2009, eliminating more than 8,000 jobs there, as part of a cost-cutting reorganization to focus on handling only cargo deliveries between U.S. and foreign cities. DHL returned to its hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport after eliminating the Wilmington operation.
