Tom Daskalakis will serve as vice president and chief operating officer of West Chester Hospital.

WEST CHESTER TWP. — Tom Daskalakis has been tapped to serve as vice president and chief operating officer of West Chester Hospital.

“Daskalakis will be replacing Interim Chief Operating Officer George Caralis and will report to West Chester Hospital President and CEO Kevin Joseph, MD,” according to a release from UC Health. He will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of key performance, quality, and growth strategies, the release stated.

Daskalakis most recently served as vice president of business development for Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Prior to joining Miami Valley Hospital, he served as chief operating officer for Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Mich. He has also held positions within the Kettering Medical Center Network.

“I am confident that Tom’s far-reaching experience as a senior executive within the industry, coupled with his familiarity with healthcare in our region will prove successful as we continue to grow our operations,” Joseph said.

Daskalakis is a Dayton resident with a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Xavier University.
