Dayton Chamber to get state funding for business internships

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Third Frontier Commission has recommended $428,571 in funding for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce as part of a statewide program to place students in intern jobs with Ohio technology companies.

The commission’s recommendation is part of $8.5 million in funding support for technology internships around the state.

The recommendation is subject to final approval by the State Controlling Board.

The overall Third Frontier program to provide seed funding, in conjunction with matching local grants, to support growth of technology companies and jobs.
