Cessna gets $12.4M contract from Air Force

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force awarded Cessna Aircraft Co. a $12.4 million contract to provide four C-208B turboprop airplanes and pilot training.

The contract also provide options if U.S. allies want to buy the planes.

The Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base awarded the contract, which is to be completed by Nov. 30, 2013.

Cessna will fulfill the contract at the company’s facilities in Wichita, Kan., the Defense Department said.
