A Cincinnati-based chain of body shops is expanding its footprint in the Dayton and northern Cincinnati areas.

The newest True Quality Collision shop opened today at 6192 Webster St. in Vandalia. The 30,000-square-foot shop, which formerly housed a tool and die company and later a bingo hall, is more than four times larger than True Quality’s previous Vandalia location at 6455 Webster St.

The shop needed more space to accommodate its growing level of business, , according to Robert W. Michael, True Quality Collision’s general manager. The new facility includes a larger repair, reception and storage areas, in addition to more parking, Michael said.

The relocation will generate up to 15 new jobs. Plans call for adding four additional True Quality Collision employees before the end of 2012, and in 2013, the company’s business plan includes development of a training center at the new Vandalia location that would employ two trainers and nine trainees who would upon completion move on to jobs in True Quality’s 11 body shops in southwest Ohio and Indiana.

The company, which operates two other Dayton-area shops in Moraine and Xenia, was founded in Hamilton County in 2002 by Jerry Fry and John Kallenberger. True Quality is looking to add new locations in Hamilton, Lebanon and Mason over the next two years, Michael said.

The Moraine location at 4790 S. Dixie Drive relocated in April to larger facilities, Michael said.

True Quality Collision offers a lifetime warranty on its repairs and works “hand in hand” with customers and insurance companies “to take a potentially stressful situation and make it as easy on the customer as possible,” Michael said.
