Area construction company raising prices

Staff Report

Contech Construction Products Inc. is increasing prices for corrugated metal and PVC products, the company said Tuesday, Jan. 12. The price increase will be 8.9 percent for all corrugated metal products and 9 percent for all PVC pipe products, the company said.

“Increased order activity in the steel industry along with increased raw material and steelmaking input costs from our suppliers are the main reasons for this price increase,” said Steve Spanagel, president of Contech sales. “In addition, the steady increase in raw material costs from our suppliers is the main reason for the PVC price increase. It is critical that we recover our costs related to rising raw materials costs, while minimizing the impact of these increases to our customers.”

Contech provides products for the civil engineering industry. Founded in Middletown and now based in West Chester Twp., its portfolio includes bridges, drainage, retaining walls, sewer and other products.
