OXFORD — The Institute of Environmental Sciences of Miami University will host an Environmental Professionals Symposium Oct. 11 in which students and community members can learn about what opportunities and experiences exist at the local, regional, and national level for those involved or engaged in the environmental sciences.

During the event local and regional employers will be available to talk to interested persons about internship and career opportunities.

The event, which takes place from 1-5 p.m. in the Shriver Center of Miami University's Oxford campus, comes at a time when many are concerned about job security, our dependence on energy, and the need to reduce our use of natural resources.
