WEST CHESTER TWP. — The "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" episode featuring the Akers family will air at 8 p.m. Oct. 5 on the ABC television network, Ginger Akers announced.
"WCPO is doing a one-hour special before the premiere and possibly after the premiere," Akers said in a release.
After receiving thousands of nominations, the ABC telvision show's crew came to West Chester Twp. from July 10-18 to demolish a bi-level home and build a wheelchair-accessible ranch for the Akers family. Daughters Brooke and Faith both have spinal muscular atrophy.
