Randal Baker, 53, was arrested at 10:31 p.m. after his vehicle allegedly ran a stop sign and caused a collision at Eldora Drive and North Verity Parkway. Baker was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, his fifth such charge in the last 20 years, according to reports. He also was charged with failure to yield right of way, stop sign violation and a seat belt violation.
April 28
Donald Benware Jr., 26, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. after he allegedly broke into a car in the 4000 block of Helton Drive and then threatened the owner of the car. Benware was charged with vandalism, felony theft and aggravated menacing.
Two DVD players, two televisions, men's clothing, compact discs, DVDs, towels, makeup and baby items were stolen during a break-in discovered about 9 a.m. at a home in the 2200 block of Central Avenue.
Michael J. Brown, 29, was arrested at 1:33 a.m. after he allegedly rear-ended another vehicle at Breiel and Roosevelt boulevards and then fled the scene. He was charged with driving under the influence, fleeing the scene and failure to maintain an assured clear distance.
April 29
Charles Graham, 18, was arrested at 12:27 p.m. after he allegedly kicked in the door of an apartment in the 300 block of Clark Street, slapped a 16-year-old and grabbed her by throat. Graham said he only broke in the door after he was struck in the head by a snow globe. Graham was charged with assault and criminal damaging.
April 30
A desktop computer and modem were reported stolen at 11:41 p.m. from a home in the 3100 block of Wilbraham Road.
Copper ducts and wiring were reported stolen at 10:42 a.m. from a home in the 1200 block of Yankee Road.
Dennis Williams, 49, was arrested at 5:55 p.m. after he allegedly crashed his van in the 1700 block of Tytus Avenue and then drove off. Williams was charged with fleeing the scene of an accident and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, his fifth such charge in the last 20 years, according to records.
