MIDDLETOWN — The air show that comes to Middletown this weekend will have its ideal viewing times this evening, May 9, and Saturday.
The RV Formation Flying Clinic arrives at Hook Field with pilots of the small, maneuverable planes flying in formation at various times.
Extras
This is not a full-scale air show, but the public is invited to watch the planes, either from Smith Park, or inside a courtyard area inside Hook Field. There is no admission charge.
Rich Bevies, who is organizing the event, said the planes will arrive Friday, with optimal viewing times being between 3 and 6 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday and before noon on Sunday.
This is the first of several air shows to be held at Hook Field this year. Others will include a show for radio-controlled jets, participation in the Ohio Challenge Hot Air Balloon Festival and a full-scale air show in September.
