BOYS BASKETBALL
ROSS 37, MONROE 32: Max Mischkulnig scored nine points and Derek Ridge added eight at Ross defeated winless Monroe on Saturday, Feb. 13. The Hornets (0-17) were led by Cody Ridinger with a game-high 14 points. The win improves Ross to 8-9.
FAIRFIELD 58, LEBANON 55: James Turner led a balanced Tribe attack with 10 points Saturday, Feb. 13, as the visitors won their second straight game to improve to 7-9. Willis Fleming scored nine points and Josh Edwards added eight for Fairfield, and Justin McCray notched 10 rebounds, six points and four steals. Dusty Isaacs scored 20 points for the Warriors (4-13).
EATON 79, FRANKLIN 60: Eaton outscored Franklin 47-16 in the first half and cruised to a Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern Division win on Saturday, Feb. 13. Cole French led Eaton with a game-high 28 points. Scott Blake led the Wildcats (9-8, 4-6 SWBL Southwestern) with 22 points. Justin Rossi added 10 in the loss.
PREBLE SHAWNEE 62, TWIN VALLEY SOUTH 50: Four Preble Shawnee players scored in double figures as the Arrows won their third straight game on Saturday, Feb. 13. Will Pope had a game-high 17 points to lead Preble Shawnee (12-4). Willy Barnhill (15) Dylan Brown (13) and Mark Moore (10) also contributed in the win. The Arrows outscored TVS 22-12 in the fourth quarter to seal the nonleague win.
VALLEY VIEW 77, WAYNESVILLE 63: Valley View outscored Waynesville 22-14 in the fourth quarter to win the Southwestern Buckeye League crossover game on Saturday, Feb. 13. Kyle Pohl led the Spartans with a game-high 25 points. Ricky Denny and Zack Denny added 18 and 13 points respectively for Valley View (6-11).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
MIDDLETOWN CHRISTIAN 57, XENIA CHRISTIAN 32: Paige Huntsberger scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Eagles to a Metro Buckeye Conference win on Saturday, Feb. 13. Patty Rhinehart added 11 points for MCS, which ends its regular season at 8-12 overall and 5-7 in the MBC. The Eagles will face Summit Country Day on Feb. 16 in the first round of the Division IV sectional tournament at Monroe High School.
MONROE 37, DIXIE 26: Monroe won for the third time in its last four games on Saturday, Feb. 13 to improve to 8-10 overall and 6-5 in the Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division.
MIAMISBURG 62, LEBANON 37: Maria Rotello scored 18 points to lead Lebanon in a Greater Western Ohio Conference South Division loss on Saturday, Feb. 13. The Warriors fall to 7-13 overall, 0-8 GWOC South.
SPRINGBORO 53, TROY 28: Olivia Schretzman scored 13 points and Jordan Trimarco added 12 as Springboro defeated Troy on Saturday, Feb. 13. Megan Graber also had 11 for the Panthers (12-8), who outscored Troy 31-9 in the second half.
WAYNESVILLE 58, VALLEY VIEW 51 (OT): Waynesville came from behind in the fourth quarter to force overtime where it outscored Valley View 13-6 to win the Southwestern Buckeye League crossover game on Saturday, Feb. 13. Brooke Lewis had 18 points and Hannah Collins 10 for Valley View (7-10). Waynesville finishes its regular season at 15-5.

Yes, every team has a bad year, but it sure would **** to be from monroe EVERY year! I agree with you BC, but ZF is the only decent athlete in the HS. I would definitely be looking at a transfer. Maybe some other school will open enrollment so the recruiting process is legal. ZF go to ALTER take some game films with you, if you are good enough, they might let you in. If you dont win a state title, you at very least get a top notch education and not be labeled a loser from MONROE!
