Several area baseball players have received 2009 Academic All-Ohio honors, according to the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Web site.
Madison’s Andy McCoppin and Lebanon’s Logan Baker and Zach Schnee were on the list.
To receive Academic All-Ohio status, a player must be a senior in good academic standing, start 70 percent of all games (or 25 percent for pitchers), be in the top 25 percent of their class and have a combined score of 1,000 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT tests.
