Carlisle's Sandlin second at holiday tourney

FAIRBORN — Carlisle High School’s Jason Sandlin was the top local finisher Friday in the Greater Miami Valley Wrestling Association Holiday Tournament at Wright State University’s Nutter Center.
Sandlin finished as the runner-up at 132 pounds, dropping a 13-4 major decision to Corey Ahern of Ryle (Ky.) in the title bout.
Edgewood had a pair of placers in Adam Moore (third, 170) and Jordan Puska (fifth, 120).
Carlisle’s Jimmy Sandlin was sixth at 145. Franklin’s Matt Middletown (126) placed seventh and Chase Henderson (220) was eighth.
Among area teams, Franklin’s 24th-place finish was tops.
