CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns are talking about bringing Ohio State safety Kurt Coleman, a Northmont High School graduate, in for a visit, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reported. Coleman, who said he “clicked” with the Browns at last month’s scouting combine, is seen as a mid-round pick who can play safety and possibly double as a nickel cornerback.

The team also will take a closer look at Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in a private workout scheduled before the April 22-24 draft, team President Mike Holmgren confirmed.

Holmgren, General Manager Tom Heckert and coach Eric Mangini attended Tebow’s Pro Day on Wednesday, March 17, and were impressed with the improvement in his throwing mechanics and footwork. Holmgren still has reservations, however, about Tebow’s mechanics.

“I just think in the heat of battle guys will usually revert [to old form],” Holmgren said Thursday. “I think, and I told him this, that he was so thinking about his mechanics that at times it looked a little robotic.”
