FRANKLIN — Jaci Hoobler is stumping for George for president — Curious George, that is.
"I think he would be a good one," said the sixth-grade Hunter Elementary student. "Very curious."
Franklin City Schools elementary students are campaigning for their favorite literary characters as president.
The race is just one of the activities happening during this year's election-themed Right to Read Week.
Students have been making morning speeches and hanging signs around their schools to support their pick for president.
Third-grade Hunter student Kade MacGloan said Bad Kitty would make a good president.
"He's clever, dedicated and brilliant," he said.
But sixth-grade Hunter student John Wright said Winnie the Pooh is a sweeter pick.
"He's full of honey and he's always loving," Wright said.
On Friday — after showing proper identification — the students will enter the voting booth to pick a candidate. The results will come in Monday.
