FAIRFIELD TWP. — The Butler County Republican Women's Club will hold its monthly meeting 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at GOP Headquarters, 5964 Golf Club Lane. All Republican women and guests are invited to attend.
Parkinson's Group meeting Tuesday
FRANKLIN — The Franklin Parkinson Support Group will meet 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9, at St. Mary Church Center, at 115 So. Main St.

AARP seeks tax aide volunteers
AARP Tax-Aide — a free community service for those with low and moderate incomes, with emphasis on senior citizens — is in urgent need of volunteers to keep open the existing tax-site locations and staff them for the existing and upcoming tax season.

NAMI targeting needs of parents
FAIRFIELD — A nine-week educational series will be held at 7 p.m. each Tuesday starting Sept. 16 at the Butler County Mental Health Board, 5963 Boymel Drive.
It is sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Butler County. The hand-to-hand classes target parents and caregivers of children, age 18 and younger, with a serious mental illness or emotional disorder.
The program and materials are free. Space is limited. Topics will include understanding the behavior, finding help, school supports and more.
The series is appropriate for families dealing with the following diagnoses: ADHD, major depression, childhood bipolar disorder, oppositional defiance disorder, Autistic spectrum disorders such as Asperger's Syndrome, obsessive compulsive disorder, and childhood schizophrenia.
