FRANKLIN — The city planning commission will discuss leveling Buddy's Carpet Monday, Aug. 11, so that a new retail center can be built.

Beavercreek-based Synergy Development has plans to demolish the site at 1480 E. Second St. and build a 100,000-square-foot office building, according to the agenda.

Synergy representative Todd Duplain told City Council earlier this summer that the building would be used as medical offices, though he would not comment further.

The planning commission meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the city building, 1 Benjamin Franklin Way.
