West Chester man held without bond after allegedly assaulting woman

A West Chester Twp. man was arrested late afternoon Thursday, July 17, for allegedly assaulting a woman.
Middletown police have charged David Watters, 30, with felonious assault and said additional charges are pending as the incident remains under investigation.
Police responded to the 300 block of Curtis Street at about 3:42 p.m. where the resident, Judy Apking, 35, was found with visible facial injuries.
She was transported to Atrium Medical Center for treatment and transferred to another facility, according to a hospital supervisor.
Watters was being held without bond in the Middletown City Jail. He is slated to appear at 9 a.m. today in Middletown Municipal Court.
