Police still are searching for the suspects responsible for the shooting deaths of two Honduras natives near a Fairfield night club earlier this week.

Marlon Aristides Enamoravo-Gomez, 21, and Evelvin O. Morales, 20, both originally from Honduras and believed to be Cincinnati residents, died after being shot near Casa Tequila in the 6700 block of Dixie Highway early Sunday, July 13, according to Butler County Coroner Dr. Richard Burkhardt.

Both men were shot in the head, Burkhardt said Monday, July 14, ruling the deaths homicides. Morales died at the scene. Enamoravo-Gomez, who also went by "Juan Carlos," was taken to Mercy Hospital Fairfield, where he later died.

While the Fairfield police are investigating the double shooting, spokesman Lt. Ken Colburn said police agencies around the region have offered assistance. Police would not release what type of gun was used or how many times Enamoravo-Gomez and and Morales were shot.

"Detectives from area police agencies have been contacting our detectives with leads and possible information to try and help out." Colburn said. "The exchange of information should assist in solving this."

Even though there is aid from other departments, Police Chief Mike Dickey said detectives will have to "piece this together methodically."

"... right now we still have a number of people to interview," Dickey said.

The victims were found outside Arby's next to Casa Tequila at

2:14 a.m. Sunday, according to police. Several witnesses told police there may be multiple gunmen.

Police are interviewing each witness, but only have one Spanish-speaking officer on the department, Dickey said.

"We're dealing with a number of people whose primary language is Spanish and trying to work our way through. That has been difficult," Dickey said.
