Tell others about your bad neighbor

COMMENT: Tell us a story about your bad neighbor

Neighborhood gossip in Butler County has gone online with the creation of the Web site, www.RottenNeighbor.com.

The Web site allows users nationwide to profile bothersome neighbors as well as their better-liked neighbors via posts and even video footage. There is also an extensive listing of sex offenders, a newer addition to the site.

Several Butler County households have been posted to the site.

Brant Walker created the Web site after he moved into his San Diego apartment in July 2007. He noticed a bad smell emanating from his adjacent neighbors' dwelling. The Web site gives people a chance to warn others about situations like his own before they occur, Walker said.

The site uses Google Maps to create an aerial view of neighborhoods and marks those tagged as bad neighbors with red houses. Good neighbors are marked with green houses, although fewer people use this feature, Walker said. Area foreclosures are marked with yellow houses.

It is recommended that users do not post specific addresses, but streets, Walker said.

Houses where registered sex offenders reside are also marked by red houses although Walker plans to change that marking soon.

"I think those are the most rotten neighbors," Walker said of sex offenders whose information is provided by www.FamilyWatchdog.com.

If users find themselves or an undeserving neighbor listed on the Web site, they can flag (report) the entry. After several flags, the entry will be taken down, Walker said.

However, the Web site is driven entirely by user-posted comment, Walker said, adding that he does not change anything posted.

Walker could not comment specifically about Butler County reports, but said he has noticed increased usage of the site in Ohio.

Our neighbors are just wonderful…the local children have stolen our mail (we’ve had over $100 in packages stolen). Wife beaters. People who party and start fights in the parking lot. Our car was keyed. Obscenities written on our door and car. Men urinating in the parking lot. Kids screaming at me for no reason. A man dragged a woman out of her moving car while his GF began punching her. We’re moving & this has finalized my decision to get a tubal ligation. I will miss the nice neighbors though

Peeping neighbors suck. We don’t mind being friendly or talking to our neighbors but looking out a door and window and waiting 4 us to come outside then calling to see if we wanted to chill? Being confined to the back yard sucks. We are not mean enough to tell them they are annoying us. Drug dealers on our street suck. They need to move. Section 8 people suck on our street, they are mostly drug dealers also. Middletown just sucks period along with the barking dogs next door on both sides. HaHAAA

I live on the east side..close to Fairfield township, but still in Hamilton. I love it here.. I walk my dogs in the late evening.. I’m not afraid..We’re all just a bunch of hillbillies.. houses don’t get broken into..because we all either have BIG dogs and or guns..and we’re not afraid to use them and we watch each other’s houses. We wave to each other when we go to work.. and wave again when we all get home. The street is completely quiet by 11:00 every night

Gee if you don’t like your neighbor, maybe they feel the ssme way about you and what are you going to cry about when they post how bad you are or put your house on the internet with a red arrow? This has to be the dumbest thing I have seen in a long time. Get a life folks and quit belly aching.

If you don’t like your neighbor…move. No one is twisting your arm to make you stay there. We have annoying neighbors as well, but now we are looking for a house in the country.

Continued.. A police report has been filed in the matter. But, since the kids came to adults about the man’s behavior, instead of going to his home or helping him find his dog, the police say there is nothing they can do. When confronted about his behaviors, the man and his family told us they would us all and blow up our houses if we did not leave the creep alone.

By posting this, we are likley placing ourselves and more importantly our children at risk, but we need someone to be aware.

To the surviving family of the idiots who repeatedly shot off fireworks to the extent that it caused their next door neighbor to go ballistic, shot them and is now spending HIS life in prison.

You losers are white trash who have ZERO respect for your neighbors.

YOU are the ones who deserve to spend YOUR lives in prison for creating such a hostile environment for those who had to live next to your sorry a$$es.

Our neighbor, living on Rochester Ave. in Fairfiled Township tries to get young boys to come to his house. He is the neighbors, where there is a gap in the sidewalk. The one time we caught him trying to get the boys to come over the creep was drunk.2-3 days before being caught enticing tghe children, a silver car trolled our street stopping to ask one of the boys if he has seen the man’s lost puppy. It was a silver car described by the child. Our neighbor also drives a silver car.

Wow, was it a slow news day? Just what Hamiltonians need, another forum to gossip and complain. Don’t people have better things to do? I for one wanted to read some news. Journal, I’m disappointed…

Druggies on Brentwood, you are just plain stupid. Don’t you think all your neighbors know you phone drug dealers to your house and from them you buy your drugs. Buy your drugs some place else, keep the dealers away, if you can’t then other actions will be taken. Next time I will post your address.

Our neighbors are so obnoxious! They have little “parties” every night in their driveway. If you want to sit outside & light tiki torches & be loud fine, but it would be nice if they used their backyard like normal people so we didnt have to see it constantly. They grill out, have people over non-stop & again, light tiki torches, every night & just make a commotion & annoy the entire neighborhood. there is a constant hum of dog barking now b/c they sit front & center. you have a backyard-use it
