The Middletown Park Board will have a light agenda of topics to cover at its meeting Monday, May 5.

The board is expected to discuss recreation programs planned for the summer of 2008, a report on youth sports organizations and whether it should continue its membership in the National Recreation and Parks Association or switch over to the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association, according to Recreation Administrator Abby Ison.

The board also is expected to hear updates on the "My Park" initiative; the Douglass Park revitalization that includes moving the base of the youth football program for this fall, as well as constructing a new splash pad complex this spring. It also is expected to hear about preparations to open Sunset Pool for the 2008 swimming season.

The board is set to meet at 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room 2C on the second floor of the Middletown City Building, One Donham Plaza.
