Fans will be taking their pride to Edgefest today with the return of an event that honors the Cougars.
Edgefest 2007 starts at 5 p.m. today at Edgewood High School with a flag football game against former Bengals players beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Kulmer Field, said Chris Hackney, president of the Edgewood Athletic Boosters Club.

The club is bringing Edgefest back after a one-year hiatus.
"The kids really missed it last year, so we are doing it again," said Hackney.
Edgefest activities from 5 to 7 p.m. will include tables for fundraisers such as T-shirt sales, dunking booths, face painting and food sales, as well as information on thyroid cancer from Thykidz, said Hackney.
"It's an opportunity for the members of the community to come and see what some of the groups and organizations that are connected to the school ... what they're doing and what the money that they need goes for," she said.
Edgefest also gives the community a chance to meet students, Hackney said.
"You hear a lot of negative things about high school kids," she said. "They're going to find out what kinds of great things these kids are doing."
