Seventh-grade science teacher and eighth-grade head football coach Dan Little, 24, of Maineville, was cited for drug possession, according to police.
Police were called in the early morning hours of July 12 to a hotel room at Hampton Inn, 204 Crescent Ave. in Covington, Ky., and searched the room after smelling marijuana. During the search, police say they found in Fallon's clothing a bag of marijuana, rolling papers and a bag of unknown "white, chunky material" that they believe to be narcotics.
A third man, Jabree Jones, 27, of Cincinnati, was also arrested and charged with drug possession.
Fallon, hired in August 2005, was named head wrestling coach this season and is an assistant football coach for the eighth-grade team. Little, hired in 2004, is also an assistant junior high wrestling coach.
Both men were put on leaves of absence from all teaching and coaching duties pending an internal investigation, according to a statement issued by the Mason school district.
"The Mason City Schools Board of Education is committed to allowing the legal process to take its course," the district stated.
