Fike, 24, of Owensboro, Ky., along with his fiancee, Cassandra Davidson, were taken to the Warren County Jail.
Fike, the younger brother of former NASCAR driver A.J. Fike, is the driver of the No. 1 Toyota Tundra for Red Horse Racing in the Craftsman Truck Series and currently is ranked eighth. He competed at the Kentucky Speedway in 2005 and 2006 in the NASCAR Busch Series race.
"We were made aware of this incident this afternoon," Red Horse Racing's General Manager and Team Owner Tom DeLoach said in a statement on Sunday. "We are working with NASCAR to obtain further information on the incident and will release more information as the facts become available to us."
The case is under further investigation pending drug analysis results from the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory.
Fike began racing in 2001 in the USAC Silver Crown Series. He became the youngest driver to win a Silver Crown race — breaking NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon's record — and finished tenth in points, earning him the Rookie of the Year award.
The next season, Fike won seven midget feature races in addition to winning the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association championship, and was named National Midget driver of the year in 2002-03. Also, Fike won the Infiniti Pro Series races at Chicagoland in 2002 and Pikes Peak in 2003.
