A driver who crashed his Ford F-150 pickup truck into a Trenton ambulance on its way to an emergency call was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, expired tags and for allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence, according to Middletown police.

Ricky Noble, 53, of Lebanon, struck the life squad at

9:24 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the intersection of Elliott Drive and Roosevelt Boulevard, police said.

The ambulance was westbound on Roosevelt with its lights and siren on when the truck crashed into the passenger-side door, police said.

The ambulance had taken a patient to the hospital and was on its way back when it got another call before the crash.

No emergency personnel were injured.

Noble was taken to Atrium for treatment of his injuries.
