Six works by regional artists will be featured in “BACKYARD”, an exhibit that will show at Manifest Gallery through January.

Opening Dec. 11, the artists with works featured in the show were selected form among 77 other artists who submitted 153 works for consideration. Artists were required to live within 100 miles of Cincinnati — which inspired the exhibit’s title. Those chosen include Patrick Adams of Nicholasville, Ky.; Andrew Au of Cincinnati, Cole Carothers of Milford, Hunter Stamps of Lexington, Ky.; Travis Townsend of Lexington, Ky. and Lisa Wilson of Oxford.

The opening reception is slated for 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Refreshments will be served at the reception, which is sponsored by CafĂ© MoCA, What’s For Dinner and the Echo Restaurant.

The exhibit runs through Jan. 8, 2010.

Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drwaing Center is open from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. It is located at 2727 Woodburn Ave. in Cincinnati. School groups are invited to visit.
