Ick, your thong and skinny jeans can make you sick

Fashion may not necessary kill, but some doctors are reminding women that it can definitely make your sick in most unappetizing ways.

Fashionista and rocker boys who wear skinny jeans maybe putting themselves at risk of meralgia paresthetica, a gross sounding nerve affliction also known as “tingling thigh syndrome.”

Skinny Jeans

Too-tight skinny jeans can compress a nerve that runs through the thigh, causing meralgia paresthetica, doctors say.

Super high stilettos can make things even worse.

More women are developing the condition.

Thongs especially when paired with skinny jeans can cause a nasty bacterial or fungal bladder or urinary tract infections.

Thongs are risky because lady parts are so close together.

Friction can move bacteria from the anus to the vagina and to the urethra, Dr. Elizabeth Steiner of at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, told ABC News.

To reduce problems, do not wearing thongs and skinny jeans all the time and eating a cup of non-fat yogurt with probiotic culture every day, Steiner recommended in the ABC News story.

File this one under “G” for grody.
